The National Museum of Tajikistan, starting from Navruz of 2014, every year organizes a traditional exhibition by name «From Navruz to Nowruz», where all valuable monuments are exhibited, which are collected by archaeological expeditions, the fund commission and by donating them to the fund of the National Museum of Tajikistan. The main purpose of organizing this kind of exhibitions, first of all, it is collection, storage, propaganda and motivation, as well as acquaintance of visitors with the historical and cultural heritage of ancestors.
According to the reliable sources, during the period from Navruz of 2017 to the Navruz of 2018, over 843 pieces of historical and cultural heritage were purchased to the fund of the National Museum of Tajikistan by the fund's purchasing commission, from this amount 425 of them are gifts of citizens and 418 units were purchased by the fund's purchasing commission. The purchased objects consist of: 589 coins of different period, 26 works of fine art, 46 manuscripts and lithographic publications, 130 archaeological and 25 ethnographic items. It worth to mention that the painting «The Eternal Vow», painted by the artist Djuraev G. Kh., in 2017 was presented by the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His excellency Emomali Rahmon. Also, the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov, during his official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, presented 3 handmade Turkmen carpets, 1 globe with the maps and flags of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, a copy of the wolf's head (a copy of the historical find), a statue of a horse - akhalteke, dignity of 100 Turkmen manat, a copy of the Parthian rhetoric from the ancient settlement of Niso, the book "Navruzname" to the fund of the National Bank of the National museum of Tajikistan. It is worth to emphasize that this year the National Museum of Tajikistan jointly with the State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan and the Union of Artists of Tajikistan organized the 5th anniversary of this exhibition. The first part of the event was held in the presence of a wide circle of guests - the administration of the National Museum of Tajikistan, representatives and students of the State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan and the Union of Artists of Tajikistan, which was held in the hall of the National Museum of Tajikistan. The second part of the event, which took place on the third floor of the National Museum of Tajikistan, was opened by the Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Abduvali and greeted the guests in this temple of science and culture. Then the Principal of the State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan Jamshed Ganizoda and the chairman of the Union of Artists of Tajikistan Nargis Khamidov spoke about the results of corporation and achievements of masters and designers. It worth to mention that the guests and representatives of the embassies in the Republic of Tajikistan, the ambassador of the Russian Federation Lyakin-Frolov Igor Semenovich and the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Nikolayevich Ivanov to Tajikistan, writers, poets, artists, mass media representatives and students of different courses participated in that event. Teachers and students of the State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan showed a fashion where the elegance of national clothes was emphasized. Indeed, master-designers, and students of this institute showed to the audience the knowledge and skills gained throughout the year. Also, it should be noted that in the honor of the international holiday Navruz, the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts will be organized various national clothes and costumes.
It should be noted that out of 843 kinds of historical and cultural heritage acquired by the museum, 431 works were exhibited in two rooms of the third floor of the National Museum of Tajikistan at the exhibition of «From Navruz to Nowruz». At the same time, 35 work and works of masters-designers, and students of the State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan were shown at the exhibition. The most attention was paid to the suzani and embroidery of Samarkand and Bukhara, Khujand and Istaravshan, ceramic jugs, ancient coins, jewelry, rare books and unique manuscripts and various works that reflect the nature of Tajikistan, famous personalities and the culture and traditions of the Tajik people.
The traditional exhibition «From Navruz to Navruz – 2018» will last from March 17, 2018 to April 02.2018 of 2018.
