On November 2, 2017, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhammedov visited the National Museum of Tajikistan.
The ceremony of meeting high-ranking guests took place at the main entrance of the Museum. Guests were welcomed and accompanied by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Davlatali Said and Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Abduvali.
The director of NMT Sharifzoda Abduvali acquainted guests with the museum's exposition.
It is worth noting that on the first floor in the department of ancient and middle ages history, the attention of the guests was attracted by the exhibits of the Ancient Tulkhar, the Achaemenid Empire, the Oxus treasure, Takhti Sangin, Ancient Penjikent and the Huttalian horse, and other cultural and historical monuments of the Tajik people.
Highly respected guests paid special attention to the art of "chakanduzi" (traditional embroidery), and the Director of the NMT told about the history of this art.
After the tour in the book "Honored Guests", President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhammedov presented his impressions of the museum.
In the end, high-ranking guests talked about the rich history that connects the two countries, thanked the Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Abduvali about the excursion at a high professional level.
