On November 10, 2017 the National Museum of Tajikistan with the agreement of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and in cooperation with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan in honor of the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, as an historic event was organized an exhibition called «1917. The Symbol of the Revolution».
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, there were ambassadors of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and students from the Tajik National University, the Russian-Tajik Slavic University, Branch of Lomonosow Moscow State University in Dushanbe and others.
The solemn part of the exhibition was opened by the Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan Abduvali Sharifzoda, then in his speech the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Tajikistan Igor Lyakin-Frolov told about the history and importance of the October Revolution.
Over 50 archival documents and photographs from the Russian Federation, as well as 14 paintings by the great artists of the Soviet Union from the storage of the National Museum of Tajikistan, which reflected the events of the October Revolution, were presented at this exhibition.
Works of artists of A. K. Khaidarov «Decree on the land», «The fall of the Emirate», «Glow of October», «Liberation from jail». G. A. Yaralova and M. A. Abdurakhmanov «Land to the farmers», N.N. Nikitin «Decree on the Land», N. N. Nikitin and A. M. Ponomarev «The Meeting of Lenin with Delegates of Central Asia, October 1920». E. Flerova «Komsomol», B. Serebryansky «Stalin is the first candidate», V. P. Sapronov «Delegation of Turkestan to Lenin» and many other paintings attracted the attention of visitors and acquainted them with the historical events of that time.
It worth to emphasize that the October Revolution was an impetus that improved the life of the Tajik people and created a favorable ground for the independence of the Tajiks.
