Department of Natural History

     Halls of the Department of Natural History are located on the ground floor of the Museum. The Exposition of the Department of Natural History introduce the visitors to the flora and fauna, special protected natural territories, minerals, deposits and national parks of the Republic of Tajikistan. The hall consist of three large and two small rooms. There is a special Geological hall in the department that represents the samples of the precious and decorative stones that were distracted from the bowls of the mountains of Tajikistan including the paleontology section, and the fossils. In the middle of the Geology Hall, a stone tree decorated with 19 thousand gemstone and decorative stones. At the same time, it is possible to see the species of the animals of Tajikistan through the special dioramas of Pamir, Balandkuho, Childukhtaron, Dashti-jum, Beshai Palangon.


     The staff of the Department of Nature can freely conduct tours into Tajik and Russian languages. The main task of the staff of the Nature Department is to conduct tours, publish scientific articles and compile a scientific description to the exhibits.
